Job
Summary:
The DC Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical, customer service, and administrative duties to support operations of a distribution center.
Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels are available to fulfill all orders.
Ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packing lists, and transport instructions, is prepared.
Utilizes tracking systems to input or look up information.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
Provides clerical support to operations management including making copies, maintaining files, and calculating and completing a variety of production paperwork.
Communicates with various internal and external contacts to obtain, verify and communicate information for operations management.
Utilizes CRT, PC, Scanner or RF units to research and confirm production data for operations management.
Communicates findings to Supervisor.
Prepares, analyzes and maintains a variety of daily and weekly reports.
Performs duties of a Material Handler as required.
Performs semi-routine duties where some judgment is required.
Work is performed under defined and uniform procedures.
Performs general housekeeping duties within the department and assigned areas to ensure a safe/clean working environment.
Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques and office equipment along with strong organizational skills required.
Strong communication skills, usage of the English language is a must, including reading, oral and written, and Math skills required.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; clerical experience is preferred.
Computer skills are a must including Microsoft Office.
Previous PC based and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented and perform clerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with all co-workers within immediate department, other DC departments and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
