Job DetailsPosition
Summary:
The Donor Relations Director reports to the VP of Development and is responsible for developing and implementing management strategies to secure financial support from a portfolio of mid-level donors identified with the capacity and inclination to increase their support of the company.
This position will have a dynamic and diverse portfolio of individuals capable of contributing to the overall company revenue, with the goal of elevating these individuals to higher giving levels through exceptional moves management.
Essential Functions:
Mid-Level Program Management Under the direction of the VP of Development, creates, builds and executes giving strategies for donors giving between $1K- $4,999K nationwide.
Creates and builds a progressive giving program that connects Mid-Level Donors in a meaningful way to the work of Childhelp.
Qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards giving of individuals for gifts on an annual or other planned basis in a portfolio of approximately 600-700 accounts with KPI's against retention, lift, and promotion.
Collaboratively plans and implements new donor cultivation and sustainability initiativesAdministers day-to-day operations of the function ensuring efficiency and effectiveness and optimizing the use of available resources:

Tracking unit goals and objectives 3.
Establishing project prioritiesMid-Level Gift Program Management Develops and implements strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Mid-Level gift donors nationally.
Creates proposals when needed by targeting donors based on propensity for giving and substantive interests; proposals to be reviewed with VP Development prior to donor presentation Recommends suitable giving vehicles for a particular donor, when appropriate, after evaluating various opportunitiesExecutes fundraising strategy through phone, email, and mail communication.
Meets with VP of Development on a regular basis for accountability, and to discuss strategy and donor adjustmentsResearch new mid-level donors using tools to update personal and contact informationOrganizational Engagement Engages current volunteers and staff to develop donor relationships reflective of the needs of the organization Works closely with other departments to leverage events and activities to enhance prospect engagement and stewardshipOccasionally facilitate face-to-face visits to select donors for cultivation, solicitations, and stewardship efforts (local and as needed circumstances)Data Integrity & Reporting Captures and records every donor activities and prospect information in the donor database, including face to-face meeting reports and other communications Produces and analyzes donor data through management of donor dashboards and scorecards Develops and manages mid-level gift program for funding priorities Coordinates information, materials and recordkeeping about donors.
Routinely runs reports and gathers information from database Tracks and produces reports on development activities and metrics with high degree of accuracy.
Prepare specialized briefing materials for donors for use by the VP of Development, as needed, materials will be used for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects Uses existing donor database and communication systems and processes to track donor activityProvides trend analysis of Individual Gifts and Fundraising Initiatives through prepared special reports as neededFundraising and Development Team Administration, Service & Support Supports administrative, event and fundraising efforts for campaigns Represents Company at fundraising events, meetings and activities as neededOther Assists VP of Development with various meetings and activities, including preparation, meeting arrangements, correspondence and presentations Assists in the creation and editing of correspondence, briefings, proposals and reports Assist the VP of Development with special strategic projects and participates in assigned special projects as required Performs other duties as required or assignedRequirements:
Education & Experience, Knowledge/Understanding Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of five years' experience in Mid-Level gifts gift, annual and/or planned fundraising, preferably within a national organization with an annual budget of $5M or more Proven ability to retain, lift, and promote mid-level gift accounts.

Organizing, classifying and synthesizing the data into fundamental issues; from the information, identifying the most probable causes of the problem; reducing the information down into manageable components; identifying the logical outcomes from the analyses of the data collected; and, identifying the options and solutions for addressing the problems analyzed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
