We focus on sustainable practices and the art of distilling essential oils and hydrosols.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Distiller and Educational Specialist to enhance our team.
Job Overview:
This role requires a unique combination of technical distillation skills and public engagement abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality essential oils and hydrosols and will play a key role in educating the public through workshops and lectures about the distillation process.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain steam distillation equipment to produce essential oils and hydrosols.
Plan and conduct educational sessions and workshops, explaining the distillation process to visitors.
Act as a guide during farm tours, providing detailed information and answering visitor inquiries.
Assist in general farm duties including planting, pruning, harvesting, and maintenance as needed.
Uphold sustainable farming practices in all activities.
Qualifications:
Experience in distillation, particularly with essential oils and hydrosols.
Strong public speaking and educational skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
At least 2 years of experience in farming, horticulture, or a related field.
Familiarity with organic and sustainable agricultural practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work a part-time schedule that includes weekends and adapt to outdoor working conditions.
Resides within a practical commuting distance from Cherry Valley, CA, or willing to relocate.
